How do I safely remove the claw from a stone crab?

The best way to safely remove stone crab claws is to insert the claw of the crab you are not harvesting and poke it into the soft part of the joint of the claw you are harvesting. You can also use a knife or screwdriver to poke the soft part of the joint so that the claw is released naturally.
